Staff Machine Learning Engineer

📋 Description

• Own personalization as a domain: models behind homepage feed, add-next recommendations, and search
• Take a fuzzy business problem from first sketch through to a production model
• Build custom embeddings from raw data and own them as several surfaces adopt them
• Make modeling and architecture calls that span teams and are expensive to reverse
• Own the full lifecycle: orchestration, deployment, monitoring and retraining loop
• Set the standard for how personalization builds with AI, including evals

🎯 Requirements

• Shipped production ML for enough years to have strong opinions held loosely
• Built recommender systems or personalization that reached real users at scale
• Deep in Python ML ecosystem: pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch
• Fluent across the whole lifecycle: orchestration to monitoring, not just training
• Build custom representations from raw data instead of off-the-shelf embeddings
• Ability to go zero-to-one: define problem space, architect from scratch, own end to end
