Staff Machine Learning Engineer – VLM/LLM Evaluation

📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end evaluation systems and benchmarks for Waymo Foundation models, from pretraining to
• Collaborate across teams to land disruptive tech in production and extend large-scale data and
• Work with a creative team building Foundation Models used in Waymo’s systems and simulation.
• Hybrid work schedule; report to a Senior Staff Software Engineer.

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in CS or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of ML engineering and applied Deep Learning experience with a strong shipped product or
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems
• Proficient in Python and C/C++
• Strong analytical and debugging skills
