Staff Mechanical Engineer, Integration

📋 Description

• Architect, design, prototype, and oversee systems to meet performance requirements
• Build and maintain thermal system analytical models that inform design decisions
• Fabricate and test first-of-a-kind prototypes to validate system design choices
• Consider ways to design the product for high-volume manufacturing and reduce product cost
• Lead vendor engagements and collaborate with manufacturing engineers to transition system designs to production
• Collaborate with the Electrical and Controls teams to optimize actuator and sensor integration

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Bachelor's with 8+ years of experience
• Understanding of first-principles and cost-down optimization
• Experience in manufacturing environment or with contract manufacturing vendors
• Demonstrated ability optimizing design thermal electrical and mechanical systems
• Sense of urgency and self-driven to hit difficult schedule targets
• Direct experience in product development within an early-stage environment ramping into production
