Staff Motion Planning Engineer - Trajectory Generation

📋 Description

• Lead motion planning and trajectory optimization for production AVs
• Architect scalable core software for real-time planning
• Define and drive long-term architectural strategy for motion planning
• Collaborate with decision/behavior planning and vehicle control teams
• Mentor engineers and grow cross-functional capabilities
• Establish modern tooling, testing, and simulation pipelines

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years production-grade C++ in real-time/safety-critical apps
• Degree in Robotics/CS/CE or related fields (BS/MS/PhD)
• Proven ownership of large-scale tech projects from problem to on-vehicle impl
• Deep MPC and motion planning, planning under uncertainty, vehicle dynamics
• Strong optimization knowledge: nonlinear methods (interior point, SQP)
• Experience deploying solvers (IPOPT, Gurobi, OSQP, CasADi) in embedded systems
