Staff Pharmacist, Michigan

📋 Description

• Review and clinically verify new and refill prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness
• Validate prescription data entry performed by pharmacy technicians
• Perform pharmacist verification of filled prescriptions in a closed-door fulfillment environment
• Perform daily prospective drug utilization review (DUR)
• Manage specialty medication handling requirements including cold-chain verification
• Provide proactive outbound patient counseling calls

🎯 Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
• Active Missouri Pharmacy License in good standing with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy
• Strong command of the English language (written and verbal)
• Demonstrated ability to perform high-volume prescription verification
• Strong technical aptitude to learn pharmacy systems
• Bilingual Spanish preferred
