Staff Platform Engineer

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the reliability, capacity and cost efficiency of DeepL's compute infrastructure
• Shape the platform's architecture and commit to decisions with peers
• Design, build and operate production-grade Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on-prem
• Deepen the hybrid model unifying workloads on-prem hardware and cloud
• Define infrastructure-as-code standards and strengthen observability and security
• Mentor engineers and drive platform direction across the track

🎯 Requirements

• Deep, hands-on Kubernetes expertise at scale
• Experience in public cloud or on-prem, AWS preferred
• Networking and Linux depth for debugging
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform and GitOps (ArgoCD)
• Go or Python software engineering for tooling
• Track record of technical ownership across teams
