Staff / Principal Applied AI Researcher (Agentic Search)

📋 Description

• Drive applied research and technical direction in retrieval, ranking, and agentic search.
• Design multi-stage retrieval architectures covering query understanding, rewriting, reranking
• Build agent-native retrieval systems for machine workflows, not traditional human search.
• Enable LLMs to retrieve, evaluate, and reason over real-time web data.
• Translate research into production with engineering collaboration.
• Define evaluation frameworks and metrics for agentic systems.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in applied AI, ML, software engineering, or related field.
• Proven track record shipping ML/AI systems at scale.
• Deep expertise in search, IR, ranking, or AI assistants.
• Strong understanding of transformers, embeddings, and LLMs.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-integrated, retrieval-based AI systems.
• Strong programming in Python and at least one systems language (Go, C++, or similar).
