Staff Product & Commercial Counsel

📋 Description

• Embedded product counsel to Product Managers and Engineering teams.
• Advise on open source licensing, license compatibility, and OSS compliance.
• Draft and maintain product-facing legal terms and monetization docs.
• Structure and negotiate commercial provisions in customer/partner deals.
• Counsel on AI-enabled product features and regulatory requirements.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school; active U.S. state bar.
• 6+ years legal experience, in-house at software/cloud/dev tools preferred.
• Deep familiarity with OSS licensing and governance.
• Experience drafting SaaS, software licensing, and cloud agreements.
• Technical fluency with containers, registries, CI/CD, APIs, software supply chain security.
• Understanding of AI/LLM legal issues and EU AI Act familiarity.
