Staff Product Designer, Design Systems

📋 Description

• Lead Alpaca strategy and evolution to scale AI-driven product
• Extend design system for AI/agent patterns and runtime components
• Partner with design and engineering teams to define, document, and ship new components
• Establish governance and quality standards for design systems including AI surfaces
• Drive design system adoption via education, tooling, and partnerships
• Represent Design Systems and AI Patterns in cross-functional forums

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years as a product designer with deep design-systems experience (B2B SaaS)
• Deep expertise in scalable design systems: components, tokens, patterns, AI surfaces
• Strong visual design foundation with typography, color, spacing, interaction, and accessibility
• Experience collaborating with front-end engineers; fluency in front-end code; ability to contribute directly
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma with variants, auto-layout, and design tokens
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; comfortable with AI-assisted work
