📋 Description

• Own recommendations and discovery end-to-end across Babylist's consumer experience.
• Set the one-year horizon and quality bar for personalization.
• Partner with ML Engineering on model behavior, retrieval, ranking, and evaluation.
• Lead ML-powered discovery in homepage feed and registry journey.
• Shape company-wide thinking on personalization and user value.

🎯 Requirements

• Real B2C ML product depth with shipped recommendations, ranking, or personalization.
• Strong fluency with ML systems: data pipelines, feature engineering, training, deployment, monitoring.
• Builder's instinct for early-stage ML: ship one excellent recommender and learn.
• Strategic foresight: articulate personalization maturity and next steps.
• Deep customer expertise: talk to customers and bring evidence into decisions.
• Commercial ownership: relate ML to GMV, ad revenue, and retention.
• Clarity of thought: communicate clearly to move conversations forward.
• AI-native daily practice: use AI tools to prototype and analyze data.
