Staff Research Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead research to improve conversational capabilities in production (instruction following, retrieval, memory).
• Build end-to-end models and pipelines optimizing quality, efficiency, and user experience.
• Partner with platform/product engineers to integrate models into production systems.
• Break down ambiguous research ideas into milestones and roadmaps.
• Mentor researchers/engineers; set direction and best practices.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or research.
• Prior experience post-training and deploying LLMs in production environments.
• Fluency in Python and modern ML tooling (training, evaluation, data pipelines).
• Track record of taking research ideas from prototype to measurable production impact.
• Ability to define a roadmap and lead cross-functional execution.
