Staff Research Engineer, Voice + Speech

📋 Description

• Lead research and engineering for real-time voice agents to production.
• Own multi-quarter initiatives to improve speech understanding, turn-taking, resilience.
• Design and implement training, evaluation, orchestration for voice agents.
• Build end-to-end models and pipelines optimizing quality and efficiency.
• Partner with platform/product engineers to deploy models in production.
• Mentor researchers/engineers, set technical direction, and best practices.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of AI/ML engineering or research.
• Deploying LLMs in production environments.
• Fluency in Python and ML tooling (training, eval, data pipelines)
• Track record turning research ideas into measurable production impact.
• Ability to define a roadmap and lead cross-functional execution.
• Mentorship and technical leadership experience.
