Staff Research Scientist, Perception

📋 Description

• Research & Develop state-of-the-art Multimodal LLMs and World models for 3D Perception using
• Integrate research into Waymo's Encoders and Sensor understanding models
• Collaborate with engineering and research teams to share recipes and best practices
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for Training & Eval
• Design and implement evaluation frameworks for perception models

🎯 Requirements

• PhD or Masters in CS, ML, or robotics with 4+ years of RL or foundation model research
• Strong publication record or significant open-source contributions
• Proficiency in scalable model training flows (Data parallel, FSDP, sharding)
• Willingness to work with globally distributed inference infra
