Designs and supervises experiments per regulatory requirements (DEA, EPA, FIFRA, OECD)
Develops procedures and methods to solve technical problems
Serves as technical expert for staff and external customers
Troubleshoots instrumentation and equipment
Studies persistence and behavior of chemicals in the environment
Writes complex technical reports and standard operating procedures

Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
Excellent communication and attention to detail
Able to work independently and in a team; self-motivated and adaptable
Learns new techniques; manages multiple tasks; keeps accurate records
Bachelor's degree in chemistry/biochemistry/biology or related field plus five years environmental fate lab experience
Master's degree with three years of related experience may substitute
