Staff/ Senior/ Principal Systems Engineer - R&D

📋 Description

• Establish user needs and system requirements with verification/validation traceability.
• Own end-to-end system architecture across mechanical, electrical, firmware/software, and test.
• Lead integration plan and cross-functional execution through milestones.
• Lead tradeoff studies on performance, reliability, safety, cost, and manufacturability.
• Define verification intent early; build coverage plans; ensure evidence from prototypes.
• Assist with Validation development and interface with Application teams; validate workflows.

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced degree in Bioengineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
• 15+ years in industry with 10+ in biopharma/biotech.
• Experience architecting and integrating multi-disciplinary R&D systems.
• Strong track record leading cross-functional technical decisions and delivering prototypes.
• Expert ability to write concise system requirements and define interfaces.
• Hands-on debugging in lab with instrumentation and data-driven RCA.
