Staff Site Reliability Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate scalable, secure infra across AWS and GCP.
• Lead reliability initiatives, including container platform migrations (ECS to EKS/GKE) in multi-cloud.
• Serve as a technical authority in Kubernetes (EKS/GKE), cloud infra, and modern CI/CD (GitOps).
• Partner with dev teams to architect microservices for prod readiness, scalability, and observability.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) across clouds.
• Improve observability, performance, and cost with robust monitoring and logging.
• Champion SRE practices: SLOs/SLIs, blameless postmortems, incident response.
• Lead complex projects from conception to completion with timelines.
• Mentor engineers across teams; foster reliability, automation, and learning.
• Collaborate with security/compliance on IAM Federation and Workload Identity.
• Participate in on-call rotations to improve systems.

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience building/operating cloud-native distributed systems (AWS & GCP).
• Deep Kubernetes expertise (EKS/GKE): design, provisioning, scale, prod troubleshooting.
• Proven ECS→EKS/GKE migrations; drive microservice enablement at scale.
• IaC: Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Python, Go, or Shell for automation.
• CI/CD: ArgoCD, GitLab CI, Spinnaker; Linux, networking; Redis.
• Databases/caching in cloud: Redis, PostgreSQL/MySQL, RDS/Cloud SQL.
• Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki.
• Container security and secrets: Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Google Secret Manager; compliance.
• Strong comms and problem solving; cross-team leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience.
