Staff Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Own the product platform: APIs, data models, services in production.
• Make hard calls: model domain and when to scale vs quick learnings.
• Ship end to end: design through launch and major initiatives.
• Work across the stack: frontend, mobile, and data as needed.
• Set how we build: raise the tech bar and adopt best AI workflows.
• Grow the team: mentor engineers and raise standards.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in engineering with ownership of systems in production.
• Deep backend ability: API design, data modeling, scalable production systems.
• AI-first mindset: leverage AI coding tools and focus on decisions and review.
• Strong technical judgment for scale, extensibility, and speed/learning trade-offs.
• Comfortable outside core; ship across the stack when needed.
• Product mindset; ship learner-focused features and communicate trade-offs.
