Staff Software Engineer (Athena)

📋 Description

• Own a major domain: onboarding, entitlements, data validation.
• Architect Go backends on GCP; ensure production-ready, tested, observable.
• Design pipelines to ingest unstructured vuln reports and dedupe.
• Establish engineering best practices: code review standards, testing, incident response.
• Collaborate with principal engineer and manager on planning and roadmap.
• Collaborate with libraries team on interface contracts and data quality.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years backend engineering owning large, production systems.
• Strong Go skills; GCP and Terraform experience.
• Experience processing data from unstructured sources with analytical mindset.
• Proven ability to take prototypes to scalable production service.
• Design systems with multi-level entitlements, access controls, routing.
• Comfortable with observability tooling; ensure production health.
• Security, supply chain, or infra background a plus.
