Staff Software Engineer (Athena)

📋 Description

• Own domain areas: onboarding workflows, entitlement mgmt, or data validation pipelines
• Architect and implement backend Go on GCP; ensure production-ready, tested and observable
• Design data pipelines to ingest unstructured vulnerability reports, deduplicate outputs
• Establish engineering best practices: code reviews, testing, incident response
• Partner with principal engineer and manager on technical planning and roadmap sequencing
• Collaborate with libraries team on interface contracts and data quality

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years backend engineering experience owning large, complex production systems
• Strong Go, plus GCP and Terraform experience
• Experience processing/validating data from heterogeneous unstructured sources
• Have taken a business problem from MVP to reliable, scalable production service
• Experience designing systems with multiple customer entitlements, access controls, and routing
• Comfortable with observability tooling; ensure features stay healthy in production
• Security, supply chain, or infrastructure background is a plus
