Staff Software Engineer, Autonomy Actions

📋 Description

• Improve quality, reliability, and robustness of autonomy decision-making, motion planning, and controls subsystems
• Collaborate with subsystem owners to implement high-value quality initiatives
• Document and iterate ICDs, enhance error checking, diagnostics, and status reporting
• Improve compiler support and static analysis integration; reduce runtime allocations
• Develop and deploy agentic AI agents to support design and validation
• Present work to the team to demonstrate high software quality

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's in CS, Robotics, or related field; MS/PhD preferred
• Expert in C++ for embedded systems (MISRA) and safety-rated software
• Comfort with large codebases; emphasis on modularity and documentation
• Experience designing/ developing architecture to verify autonomous vehicle subsystems
• Experience with Interface Contract Documentation and enforcement
• Experience with compiler integration and optimization of large codebases
• Able to work across teams to prioritize and implement quality improvements
