Staff Software Engineer - Backend

📋 Description

• Partner with Product and leadership to translate objectives into scalable roadmaps.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, and QA for critical initiatives.
• Lead design and implementation of new features in our core Java platform.
• Define and champion engineering best practices; contribute to designs and architecture.
• Mentor Staff and Senior engineers; guide design reviews and raise the bar.
• Develop maintainable software with tests and CI/CD improvements.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive software development experience with Java and Spring.
• Deep expertise with high-performance PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design.
• Extensive experience designing and securing RESTful APIs for large-scale systems.
• Expert knowledge of server-side tech including caching, asynchronous processing, and multi-threading.
• Understanding design patterns, scalability, security engineering, and OO principles.
• Experience in fast-paced agile environments with CI/CD and automated testing.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
