Staff Software Engineer, Backend

📋 Description

• Identify strategic technical needs and lead large-scale initiatives
• Own initiatives from design through execution and reporting
• Lead interviews, mentor engineers, and guide incident responses
• Design, build, and deploy server code with secure coding standards
• Monitor server performance and participate in on-call; improve reliability
• Travel for company offsites at least twice yearly

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years building web APIs in .NET/C#
• Experience building resilient financial systems with state machines
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and data-intensive apps
• Experience scaling consumer-facing products with high transaction volumes
• Collaborate with product, risk, and operational teams
• Mentoring and using AI tools like Cursor, Augment, Factory
