Staff Software Engineer, Backend

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Product to deliver features quickly in a fast-moving environment.
• Design and own backend services and APIs powering Harvey’s apps and integrations.
• Model and manage data in Postgres and related stores for low-latency experiences.
• Build secure, multi-tenant, permissions-aware systems with auditing.
• Implement backend features and workflows that use LLMs and agentic tools.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and design to ship features end-to-end.

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of backend engineering experience building and operating production web apps or SaaS.
• Strong Python skills and experience with FastAPI or Flask.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
• API design, authentication/authorization, background jobs, and error handling.
• Experience building on Cloud Infra (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Experience operating production services with logs, metrics, dashboards, and alerts.
