Staff Software Engineer, Bazel & Go

📋 Description

• Lead Bazel build system direction: remote caching, remote build execution, and perf.
• Lead the Go platform, frameworks, libraries, and patterns used by Go engineers.
• Design multi-quarter initiatives to improve build times and CI reliability.
• Own developer-experience metrics; define good, instrument, and prioritize investments.
• Partner with infra, platform, and product teams to roll out changes with minimal disruption.
• Set the technical bar for reliability, performance, upgrades, and ergonomics.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Deep Bazel expertise: remote caching, remote build execution, and large build graphs.
• Strong Go production experience; structuring large Go codebases.
• Cross-team leadership with measurable impact on velocity/CI.
• Experience with AWS and distributed systems.
• Mentoring engineers and influencing without authority.
• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/CE or equivalent.
