Staff Software Engineer, Cloud

📋 Description

• Lead the tech direction for sign-up, marketplace, billing, and payments on AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Own architecture for billing, metering, payments; ensure idempotency and auditability.
• Drive multi-quarter roadmaps with product, finance, and commercial stakeholders.
• Lead adoption of existing systems; assess, stabilise, plan evolution.
• Mitigate technical risk across the team's surface.
• Set high standards for reliability, security, and privacy of customer data.

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience designing and operating large-scale, reliable systems in public cloud environments, leading large technical projects end-to-end.
• Strong proficiency in Go (or comparable systems language with willingness to ramp).
• A track record of leading large technical projects end-to-end, from design to production operations.
• Frontend familiarity to own customer-facing UIs with design support (not a specialist).
• Production experience using AI-assisted software development workflows (e.g. Claude Code, Codex) to accelerate prototyping, delivery, and operations.
• Excellent communication; effective in globally distributed, async environments; strong collaboration with product, design, finance, and customer-facing stakeholders.
