Staff Software Engineer - Core

📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain the GG App across Windows, macOS, and iOS, including installers, background services, and update mechanisms.
• Own Windows installer engineering: MSI/EXE packages built with WiX Toolset, silent install, upgrade paths, and code signing.
• Build and maintain deployment paths for tools our customers use (Intune, AD/GP, SCCM, PDQ Deploy, and Apple MDM).
• Design and operate the auto-update system: lightweight background updater, differential updates, signed packages, CDN delivery, and scheduled checks.
• Write PowerShell and platform scripting to automate installation, uninstallation, registry and service management, logging, and diagnostics.
• Lead the Core team's application architecture decisions and collaborate with Product Management and Support to translate deployment pain into product improvements.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience; desktop/client apps.
• Deep Windows expertise: MSI/EXE, WiX, silent install, code signing.
• Experience deploying at scale via Intune, GP, SCCM, and PDQ Deploy.
• Experience building or integrating auto-update systems.
• Endpoint security/compliance knowledge: certificate trust, offline environments.
• MacOS/iOS deployment familiarity (PKG, MDM, Jamf) or ability to learn.
• Proficiency in languages with Go, C#, Swift, C++; JS/React, MySQL for dashboards.
