Staff Software Engineer, Core Infrastructure

📋 Description

• Design, develop and deliver cloud infrastructure on a modern stack (Redis, Docker, Terraform on AWS)
• Drive evaluation, development and rollout of new common features and frameworks
• Operate, support, and upgrade shared services; scale usage with Okta's growth
• Conduct design and code reviews; ensure unit and functional tests
• Monitor, troubleshoot and fix services and frameworks
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years Java backend development; multithreading and memory management
• 3+ years MySQL or relational DB design and tuning
• 3+ years deploying web services on Kubernetes (AWS EKS; GCP a plus)
• REST experience; gRPC a plus
• Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Tomcat, Redis, Docker
• Familiar with Agile software development
