Staff Software Engineer (Customer Platform)

📋 Description

• Own features end-to-end from design to rollout with Product.
• Design, build, and evolve backend services (Go, REST/gRPC) for entitlement.
• Interface between Customer Platform and other teams; build integrations.
• Extend Chainguard's AI foundation into customer-facing product experiences.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to senior/mid engineers.
• Contribute to a product-driven roadmap with clear outcomes and iterative shipping.

🎯 Requirements

• Production Go experience is a must.
• Strong API design ownership; shipped and operated backend systems.
• Experience coordinating across teams to align standards and patterns.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity with diagnosis, recommendation, and path forward.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance without management title.
• Familiarity with cloud-native environments (Kubernetes, cloud APIs) a plus.
