Staff Software Engineer, Data Platform

📋 Description

• Design, build, and own data-intensive, scalable platform components
• Develop streaming data infrastructure with Kinesis, Kafka, Flink, Spark
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and cross-functional partners
• Contribute to data analytics and ML infrastructure powering Okta
• Mentor engineers and drive performance improvements
• Help Okta lead in data-driven security across engineering

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of object-oriented language experience, preferably Java
• Hands-on with cloud-based distributed computing: Kinesis, Kafka
• Data processing: Flink, Spark, Beam
• Storage/Compute: Snowflake, Hadoop
• Kubernetes/Hadoop/Mesos coordinators and schedulers
• Experience building and tuning highly scalable distributed systems
