📋 Description

• Drive the technical direction for database solutions across product and research
• Design and implement scalable DB solutions for millions of Claude users
• Build and scale database systems to handle 100x growth with reliability
• Build the database platform so engineers ship without worrying about DBs
• Architect data storage across GCP, AWS, and other deployments
• Develop DB infra serving product and research workloads with different perf needs

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience building and operating production database/storage systems
• Deep knowledge of distributed DB architectures and OLTP at scale
• SQL proficiency and experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Spanner, CockroachDB, or DynamoDB
• Track record leading large, complex infra projects or teams
• Ability to balance speed with reliability in production systems
• Strong technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration
