📋 Description

• Lead multi-quarter technical initiatives for Tempo.
• Own Tempo architecture: ingestion, storage, query, and metrics.
• Design APIs for humans and agents to consume Tempo data.
• Drive operational excellence with SLOs and autoscaling.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to open source.
• Collaborate with Product and Grafana teams to unblock work.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep Go experience with systems programming.
• Hands-on with distributed data systems: ingestion, storage, query.
• Designing deterministic, discoverable APIs (TraceQL-like).
• Familiar with tracing, OpenTelemetry, and observability.
• Kubernetes-based multi-tenant SaaS architecture and autoscaling.
• Strong writing and collaboration in remote teams; code reviews.
