📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate core components of a large-scale, low-latency system.
• Take end-to-end ownership of subsystems: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment.
• Build a mental model of a distributed system and contribute high-leverage changes.
• Identify opportunities to evolve the system and tooling.
• Partner with engineers and scientists on distributed systems and ML-driven decisions.
• Diagnose timing- or statistics-related issues in a multi-region system.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years designing, building, and operating large-scale, low-latency distributed systems.
• Proven ability to ramp quickly into unfamiliar, complex codebases.
• Strong command of Java, with algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and performance.
• Distributed caching, high-throughput messaging/streaming, and SQL/NoSQL datastores.
• Experience operating in cloud infrastructure (GCP or AWS) at scale.
• AI/ML techniques in production or tooling experience is a strong plus.
