Staff Software Engineer, Device Software

📋 Description

• Lead backend-heavy device software powering connected experiences.
• Own technical initiatives across Python services, Next.js apps, APIs.
• Drive architecture for scalable mobile, backend, device-control, and telemetry.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into plans with tradeoffs.
• Build foundations for Device Software initiatives (deep link, OTA).
• Raise backend quality, observability, and reliability in production.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend engineering experience, including API design and microservices.
• Strong experience with Python in production systems.
• Strong experience building modern web apps with Next.js and TypeScript.
• Experience connecting backend, mobile/web clients, and device-adjacent software.
• Experience with cloud infra and tools such as AWS, Docker, Postgres, Redis, GraphQL.
