Staff Software Engineer - Experiments Platform (AU remote)

📋 Description

• Provide senior technical leadership across the backend systems behind Canva's experimentation
• Help evolve the platform teams use to set up experiments, target users, expose variants and measure
• Take ownership of significant technical problems and work with senior leaders to shape the platform
• Collaborate broadly across Canva's engineering and data science organizations, including senior
• Reinforce good experimentation practices, surface signals faster, and alert early when things go
• Support the integration of AI to automate analysis processes for faster learning and iteration.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience building backend systems or platforms that others depend on.
• Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, feature management, or progressive rollout systems at
• Technical leadership experience: turning ambiguous problems into technical direction and guiding
• Experience driving adoption of internal platforms or capabilities.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: designing reliable backend systems, scalability
• Familiarity with data engineering, analytics engineering, large-scale data processing or
