Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack

📋 Description

• Design and evolve Skydio Cloud data models, APIs, and services for drones.
• Build fleet management: real-time health, OTA updates, asset/media control.
• Develop geospatial and mission-planning systems for autonomous missions.
• Design secure, scalable, observable systems handling big data and video.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend Infra, and Field teams to ship features.
• Lead architecture and code reviews; contribute proofs-of-concept.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years building full-stack systems with TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Python, AWS.
• Systems thinking: end-to-end design with performance, reliability, observability.
• Experience building secure, scalable enterprise-grade cloud apps and APIs.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Temporal, or similar technologies.
• Strong product instincts to turn ambiguous problems into customer-facing solutions.
• Bonus: geospatial data/tools like Mapbox, Cesium, PostGIS, ArcGIS, or QGIS.
