📋 Description

  • Own localization stack areas (state estimation, mapping, calibration) to production reliability.
  • Contribute to localization/mapping pipeline: sensor integration, tuning, testing, deployment.
  • Design online validation to monitor integrity, cross-sensor consistency, drift, and safety integration.
  • Develop diagnostics, health logging, and post-mission tooling across the stack.
  • Contribute to regression/validation and release-gating for localization changes.
  • Deploy, test, and iterate with data from real autonomous operations.

🎯 Requirements

  • 8+ years in robotics/AVs; ownership of localization/state-estimation in production.
  • Deep grounding in multi-sensor fusion across LiDAR, IMU, GNSS, cameras.
  • Technical leadership driving architecture across teams on hard estimation problems.
  • Strong command of non-linear optimization (Ceres, GTSAM, g2o) and EKF/UKF.
  • Strong C++17+ and Linux/ROS/ROS2 experience.
  • Understanding calibration quality and propagation of localization errors into safety.
  • BS or MS in CS, Robotics, EE, or related field.
