Staff Software Engineer, Logging

📋 Description

• Design and implement high-throughput, low-latency logging for parallel data streams
• Define dynamic data collection policies with high-fidelity snapshots during events
• Evaluate and tune file systems to maximize write speed and integrity
• Collaborate with systems/hardware teams to select storage media (NVMe, SSDs)
• Work with autonomy engineers to meet data collection/offload performance
• Provide engineering support for field testing and fleet ops

🎯 Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in CS or related field, or equivalent experience
• Expert-level C++ with high-performance, thread-safe, memory-efficient Linux systems
• Experience with storage technologies, block devices, and file system choices based on endurance, throughput, crash-consistency
• Ability to work across multiple languages and paradigms
• Passion for robust, maintainable production code
• Strong verbal and written communication
