Staff Software Engineer - Managed Kubernetes products

📋 Description

• Define Platform Architecture: Set technical direction for App Platform and Functions control planes
• Lead Kubernetes Product Strategy: Architect how managed Kubernetes-backed infrastructure powers
• Own Hard Runtime Problems: Drive solutions for high-impact platform challenges such as deployment
• Shape Cross-Org Technical Decisions: Serve as a primary technical voice in design reviews spanning
• Establish Engineering Standards: Define and socialize best practices for the domain—API design
• Mentor Senior Engineers: Coach IC2–IC4 engineers on system design, distributed systems, Kubernetes

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a proven track record operating at a Staff
• Expert-level proficiency in Go, with deep experience building and operating gRPC/HTTP microservices
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals and platform patterns (controllers/operators, CRDs
• Experience building or operating PaaS, serverless, or multi-tenant control-plane/runtime
• Proven ability to design and operate systems at cloud scale—handling consistency trade-offs
• Deep experience with container orchestration, SQL datastores (MySQL/Postgres), and Infrastructure
