Staff Software Engineer, Monetization Platform

📋 Description

• Partner with Product, Finance, RevOps, and Eng leadership to shape billing architecture.
• Design primitives: usage events, metrics, products, rate cards, invoices.
• Architect scalable usage metering and pricing changes.
• Build entitlement layer separating pricing from product behavior.
• Work with SFDC admins, CPQ, and Finance to ensure coherent quote-to-cash flows.
• Ensure billing systems are trustworthy: idempotent handling, reconciliation, notifications, observability.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering with production backend systems.
• Billing/payments/quote-to-cash architecture for B2B SaaS at scale.
• API design and event-driven systems for high-volume data.
• Modern billing models: usage-based, subscriptions, credits, overages.
• Integrations with Salesforce, CPQ, NetSuite, and payment platforms.
• JavaScript/TypeScript, REST, SQL, distributed systems, CI/CD, cloud.
