📋 Description

• Develop signals to measure performance and driving quality of the Waymo driver using stats, math
• Use simulation and real-world logs to measure driving performance.
• Design methods to link onboard software changes to simulated outcomes.
• Champion code health and best practices in a large codebase.
• Analyze data and make recommendations to improve metric quality and interpretability.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, statisticians and leadership to deliver evaluation

🎯 Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Robotics, Statistics, Physics, Math or quantitative field
• Strong self-motivation to solve open-ended problems
• 4-7 years of industry experience
• Navigating/modifying large codebases with C++, Python and SQL
• Statistical analyses and building data processing pipelines
• Writing, reviewing, and merging code with health/maintainability in mind
