📋 Description

• Set the architectural direction for software running every SIXT branch
• Design at the software ↔ hardware intersection (Counter PCs, customer tablets, POS terminals
• Drive system-design choices across the branch domain: event-driven flows, API contracts, state
• Grow engineering practice across multiple teams through design docs and technical reviews
• Spend real time at branches to shape architecture where the system runs

🎯 Requirements

• Several years building production software systems at meaningful scale
• Customer-facing, multi-region systems experience
• Track record of taking systems from working to elegant and scalable
• System design depth: API design, data modeling, event/stream patterns, state ownership
• Comfort at the software ↔ hardware boundary (POS hardware, retail or restaurant systems, embedded
• Experience with real-time stateful client-server protocols (MQTT, WebSockets, gRPC streaming)
