Staff Software Engineer, Storage

📋 Description

• Design and implement scalable multi-tenant file and block storage.
• Build distributed storage systems and integrate clusters into customer environments.
• Work with RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, RoCE, InfiniBand, SPDK, and distributed filesystems to optimize performance.
• Improve reliability, durability, and observability with telemetry, metrics, and dashboards.
• Partner with platform, product, and infra teams to deliver storage across the stack.
• Mentor engineers on building distributed, high-performance systems.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in storage systems engineering or infrastructure.
• Hands-on production experience with distributed file systems or block storage.
• Storage protocols (NFS, S3) and file systems such as Ceph, Lustre, DAOS, or similar.
• Proficiency in Rust, C++, or Go.
• Cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, and scalable system architecture.
