📋 Description

• Set and drive the technical vision for Spark Structured Streaming.
• Design core engine capabilities — state management and new operators.
• Improve latency, throughput, and engine architecture.
• Raise engineering quality and operability for production.
• Drive stream processing adoption across the Databricks platform.
• Mentor engineers and partner with the manager to attract and grow talent.

🎯 Requirements

• BS or higher in CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years building large-scale systems (Spark, big-data, or DB internals).
• Passion for database/storage/distributed systems and performance.
• Comfortable pursuing a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables.
• Proven track record delivering features with engineering quality.
• Experience working cross-functionally with PM and customers.
