Hands-on IC role: design, code, and mentor, partnering with the EM.
Stack: Go, Rust, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.
Coordinate with Lakebase components (storage, compute, proxy, console) and cross-team work.
Define SLIs/SLOs and drive reliability across the database lifecycle.

🎯 Requirements

8+ years designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems.
IC-level tech leader: architecture and direction without formal authority.
Strong hands-on depth: design systems and production code.
Experience operating reliability-critical services (on-call, incidents, HA).
Able to plan multi-year vision with incremental, stable delivery.
Proficiency in Go, Rust, or similar; PostgreSQL and Kubernetes a plus.
