Staff Software Engineer, Travel & Expense

📋 Description

• Identify high-impact cross-team problems across Travel & Expense and drive resolution.
• Set and raise the technical bar via design reviews, architecture decisions, and hands-on work.
• Partner with Staff Engineers and EMs across expenses, travel, policy, and spend controls.
• Mentor senior engineers and grow the next generation of leaders.
• Bring an AI-forward mindset to building, reviewing, and operating.
• Influence the group’s technical strategy and leadership investments.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in software engineering with leadership across multiple teams.
• Ability to drive ambiguous, cross-cutting problems to resolution without a charter.
• Deep experience designing and operating large-scale backend systems in production.
• Strong collaboration; raise the bar for engineers and work with ICs and managers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
