Staff Software Engineer, Video Enablement

📋 Description

• Design, architect, and support video features across the pipeline at scale.
• Lead the Video Engineering team and align with PM/EM.
• Collaborate with mobile/web/backend teams to deliver video features.
• Review designs and code; provide guidance and hands-on help.
• Build internal SDKs and tooling for video integration across products.
• On-call rotation to support production video systems.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong background in video/audio streaming, esp live user content.
• Experience designing scalable video pipelines in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Deep knowledge of codecs/packaging: HLS, DASH, MPEG, RTMP, FFMPEG, DRM.
• Hands-on dev across live and VOD workflows; end-to-end video stack.
• Proficiency in C#, Go, C++, Rust, Python; plus Node/Typescript, React, Kotlin/Swift.
• Experience designing/building internal APIs/SDKs and mentoring; on-call readiness.
