Staff Specialist Field Engineer, Robotics

📋 Description

• Lead robotics field engineering engagements from scoping to deployment.
• Define engagement models and set technical standards for the practice.
• Design and deploy solutions across CoreWeave stack (Monolith, Marimo, W&B Models).
• Build customer-facing apps tailored to robotics use cases.
• Translate field observations into actionable product signals.
• Contribute to the Field Engineering knowledge framework.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in robotics, robot learning, or AI/ML for physical autonomous systems.
• Deep understanding of dynamics, kinematics, and real-world constraints.
• Hands-on ML in Python; able to build, validate, deploy models.
• Proficient with JupyterHub, VS Code, Marimo, and W&B Models.
• Experience with imitation learning, reinforcement learning, sim-to-real.
• Ability to validate ML on physical systems and identify constraint violations.
• Proven experience leading complex customer engagements and multi-stakeholder relationships.
• Familiarity with Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, Gazebo, and ROS/ROS2.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Robotics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, CS, Physics, or related field.
