Staff SW Engineer, Command and Control

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain mission management software components.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and planning.
• Test, debug, and document software functionality.
• Identify and communicate requirement issues early.
• Interface with mission planning, ground software, and platform engineers.
• Support production stability and constellation operations.
• Manage on-call rotations and live system troubleshooting.
• Support Launch and Early Operations of new satellites.
• Other duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/math/physics/statistics or equivalent.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Fluent in Python, strong in Go; other languages as needed.
• Expert in software design, data retrieval/storage, algorithms.
• Proactive in identifying and solving problems.
• Strong team and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Able to manage several concurrent tasks and priorities.
• US citizenship may be required for some programs.
• Satellite basics: orbital mechanics, attitude dynamics.
• Software/hardware performance optimization expertise.
• Experience automating complex systems (satellites, fleets, drones).
• Knowledge of geospatial data.
