Staff System Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Work in drivers and utilities teams within the system software department.
• Design, implement and test low-level kernel drivers and driver library code in C/C++/Python.
• Collaborate with software engineers, silicon and hardware teams to enable Graphcore IPU products.
• Participate in agile development as part of a scrum team to deliver software at pace.
• Hands-on during key product development phases involving close work with hardware teams.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven industry experience in software development using C/C++/Python
• OS Kernel and Device Driver development and deployment experience in Linux or Windows systems
• Good understanding of lower-level software stack and interactions with the hardware layer
• Experience with firmware or drivers for GPUs; CUDA or OpenCL knowledge beneficial
• Experience with kernel code upstreaming / Linux kernel contributions
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work in a multinational team
