Staff Systems Engineer, Electric Propulsion

📋 Description

• Own ARP4754A requirements across system, subsystem, and components levels.
• Author propulsion hardware/software requirements; include fault detection and interfaces; support FHA/PSSA/SSA.
• Lead cross-functional problem review forums; triage system-level issues and drive closure.
• Triage flight test anomalies; manage flight-critical open-issue portfolio for flight readiness.
• Own propulsion system readiness assessment at milestones; compile status and results.
• Support airworthiness/certification with propulsion knowledge for FAA docs.

🎯 Requirements

• BS in Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Eng; MS preferred.
• 8+ years in aviation systems engineering with ARP4754A ownership.
• Experience authoring baselines in Polarion/DOORS/Jama.
• Led cross-functional problem resolution; FHA/PSSA/SSA involvement.
• Deep DO-178C/DO-254 knowledge; verify artifacts and independence.
• Familiar with aircraft comm protocols; define interface requirements.
